This week’s assignment focused on crafting a spooky game, emphasizing atmosphere, vibe, and using blueprints to create a narrative within the space.
I drew inspiration from the Demeter chapter of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, adapting it to a Cold War setting. The goal was to evoke the same sense of discovery and dread XIX-century readers experienced by paralleling the era’s paranoia and cold tone with the novel’s themes.
For this project, I worked on the level and MDD simultaneously, a workflow I enjoyed implementing from last week’s assignment.
