SpellJammers & Beholders
2023 - ONGOING | Foundyvtt | D&D 5th Edition
As Game Master and world-builder, I designed and ran a continuous campaign for friends:
Rather than simply using the standard official module, I blended lore from the Spelljammer setting and Faerûn with custom “What If” twists.
The result : a pseudo-original universe where experienced players get unexpected lore surprises and newcomers get guided lore drops.
My Role & Workflow
I host all sessions on FoundryVTT and handcraft maps and dungeons using Inkarnate and Dungeon Scrawler, with tokens from 2 Minute Tabletop.
I built a full DM-guide: home-brewed rules, house-systems, and encounter design.
We meet every Sunday (2 pm) I coordinate via WhatsApp and send a mid-week availability survey to confirm play-go ahead.
The Map of the Gnoll Dungeon
My DM guide to the Gnoll Dungeon, with each trap, setups and secret room
Featured Dungeon: The Abandoned Gnoll Slums
One of our recent adventures: the party tracked the infamous Gnoll Captain Shenarak through the slums of Nal Tassad's Port, uncovering a hidden passage into a gnoll-infested dungeon packed with Witherlings, hyenas and traps.
I challenged the group with more than combat, they chose to flank differently (the Ranger with dark-vision and high Wisdom led, the Artificer backed up despite the risk), navigated narrow corridors under pressure, and discovered strategic secret rooms in real time, managing maintaining their stealthy approach while running against time to get to the Captain.
Through creativity and teamwork they out-witted Captain Shenarak and freed the hostages, a memorable and high-tension session.

Spotlight Moment:
The Owlbearta Spelljammer Encounter
Their ship, the Owlbearta, isn’t just transportation, it becomes a dynamic battleground of their own making.
The Artificer used downtime to build secret passages and comm-systems inside the ship in response to evolving threats.
During one dramatic encounter the players faced a dozen “Red Baron” planes manned by Space Clowns and Vargouilles.
The battle started like a naval dog-fight but quickly turned into chaos : planes crashed into the ship, mirror-image illusions clows, and the crew split between offensive defence and internal security.
It turned from WW1 dog fight into a horror-sci-fi hybrid where trust evaporated, every NPC could be a Clown!
Four players went down; only one NPC died.
It was gruesome, fun, utterly traumatic and unforgettable.
Dungeon Mastering and Level Design
Creating D&D long-term campaigns are a great showcase of some really different type of skillset of a Designer:
I designed branching narratives, dynamic spaces, encounter pacing, designed around player choice, created emotional stakes and environmental storytelling.
I build systems (house‐rules and encounter tables), crafted maps with real agency for players considering their own narratives and characters for each and every chapter, developing a game that could push their characters forward using the world as a stage for us to write this story together.
